1 Arrange the charcoal into a pile
Position your grill on a flat surface and open all vents, stack charcoal in a pill in the center of the grill grate.
2 Add lighter fluid onto the pile and light immediately
Lite pile in several places, if lighter fluid is to be used, add according to instructions.
3 When covered with grey ash, charcoal is ready
Wait around ten minutes or after the charcoal is predominantly ashed over, spread the pile evenly through the grill, wait five minutes and you can start cooking.
1 Arrange charcoal in a pile
Fill the grill with appropriate amount of charcoal in a pyramid like pile.
2 Add Tumbleweeds
Place a tumbleweed or more in the middle of the charcoal.
3 Add additional charcoal on top
Add additional charcoal on top of the base and tumbleweed forming a small pyramid. Keep the end of the tumbleweed exposed to allow lighting.
4 Light the tumbleweeds
Light the end of the tumbleweed. When the charcoal is covered in gray ash, spread evenly and you can start cooking.
1. Fill chimney with charcoal
Fill the chimney starter with the appropriate amount of charcoal.
2. Add newspaper and light it
Add one or two tumbleweeds or newspapers sheets and light in several places set the chimney starter over the lit tumbleweed or newspaper, watch your charcoal light.
3. When you see flames pour out the charcoal
After ten minutes, the charcoal will start glowing, when it is covered with grey ash, pour them out and spread them evenly and you can start cooking.
